What has been your biggest challenge and how your team has overcome it?
Being one of the first small farm brands to be operational after the passing of Prop 64 with changing regulations, and market volatility…we survived. Having smoothly operating distribution has been our biggest challenge with having a brand. We now have that with Nabis. Educating the Southern California market about the value and benefits of sun-grown craft cannabis. We have developed educational materials and more people are 'seeing the light'.
What are some upcoming innovations/projects you are most excited for?
We have a functional and desirable CBD strain called Strawberry G. People are increasingly finding benefits in CBD rich cannabis, which can provide less of a psychoactive effect and more overall balance - so it's really applicable to EVERY BODY. We are excited to add the CBD flower back into our preroll line, and bring back the Emerald Cup winning ‘Pacific’ tincture. Also excited to continue participating in the research and creation of a new cannabis certification program ‘Wildlife Conscious Cannabis’ to protect, restore and enhance wildlife habitat and biodiversity on cannabis farms.
Any future predictions/trends you foresee in your product category?
An appreciation for regeneratively-grown craft cannabis which provides healing entourage effects for people and sustainability for the planet. People are becoming more aware of where their weed comes from and are developing more of an interest in the ‘Why’ not just the ‘Bling’ of a packaging or familiar name.
